Evaluating dietary supplements

My students are just wrapping up a semester project for which they choose and evaluate a dietary supplement using credible websites and medical literature. Most find that supplements are generally warranted only if one's diet is low in certain nutrients or if needs are increased - adding supplements on top of an intake that falls within recommended levels rarely provides additional benefit and may even have adverse effects. I'm attaching a copy of the worksheet I provide that includes questions and links for this assignment. Feel free to adapt! Also of relevance is Spotlight D in the Nutrition for a Changing World text that focuses on dietary supplements.
