What are some best practices to help increase participation in online threaded discussions (developmental, composition, or literature)? Thank you! Take care, John Hansen

To increase participation in online threaded discussions, clearly articulate discussion prompts and provide detailed instructions to guide students. Foster engagement by encouraging timely responses and creating a supportive environment where diverse viewpoints are valued. Additionally, use interactive elements such as polls or multimedia to stimulate interest and maintain ongoing dialogue.
