We hosted a series of workshops in which lab instructors shared their in-class experiences on a variety of topics from student engagement to equality, accessibility and the future of education.
In the first of four sessions, University of Kentucky Chemistry Lab Coordinator April French and her Teaching Assistant Tosin Obisesan to talk about how to create an interactive and engaging lab environment for students and teaching assistants.
April and Tosin shared how their program ensures students and TAs come to the lab prepared and fosters an engaging live lab session.
We also discussed how to scale their approach based on the size of your program and the resources available to you.
