Directions to Students
In groups of 3 or 4, look over the Ariana Grande paper. You can read this aloud together or you can read the paper individually. Then, as a group, provide feedback on the paper as follows. Make sure to refer to specific choices that the writer makes. Document the group feedback in the form of comments on a separate google document for your group:
- Genre: provide feedback on the topic and research (1-2 examples)
- Genre/Development: provide feedback on the ideas, claims, analysis, arguments, use of sources, use of evidence, etc. (3-4 examples)
- Organization/Development: provide feedback on the structure and coherence of the paper (2-3 examples)
- Register: provide feedback on the word choice and level of formality (1-2 examples)
- Polish: provide feedback on grammar, usage, mechanics and spelling
(optional: 1 example)
Then, if time permits, please include a brief reflection on your thoughts towards the paper at the bottom of your group google document. Write 1-2 overall praises. Write 1-2 questions or advice you would like to give. And finally, give 1-2 critiques of the paper that could be utilized to improve the paper.
