Goal: to show how the work of production designers help to tell a story
Time: 20 minutes
1. Choose a film in any genre and screen parts of it in class with the volume turned off.
2. Facilitate a discussion in which you ask the following questions:
a. How does the work of the production designer tell the story visually?
b. What colors are used, and do they effectively communicate the film’s genre?
